The basics

What is Meetowt?

A private company workspace: email on your own domain, team chat, video meetings, shared documents and files, and staff records such as hours, shifts and time off — all under one login, hosted and run for you. It costs $1 per person a month, or $10.20 a person for a year bought up front, and it is free while we are in early access.

Can Meetowt replace the suite we pay for now?

Yes. It covers the same everyday ground — email, chat, video meetings, documents, spreadsheets and shared files — and adds the HR side the big suites leave out. See how it compares.

Can we use only some of it — email alone, say?

Yes. Tell us which parts your company does not want — chat, meetings, files, the HR screens — and we switch them off for you. They leave the menu and nothing of them is shown, and switching one back on brings back everything it held, because nothing is deleted. The price is the same per person either way.

How long does it take to set up?

Usually the same day. You tell us your company name and how many people you have, and we build the workspace and send you the first login. There is nothing to install and no server for you to run.

Price

How much does Meetowt cost?

It is free while we are in early access — no card, and room for up to 200 people at first and more once we have looked at your company, usually within a working day. After that it is $1 per person a month, or $10.20 a person for a year bought up front, for everything. You get a month’s notice before it starts.

Is storage extra?

Beyond what each person includes, yes. Files and documents come with 5 GB for each person, their own, in the price; more room for each person costs extra, and you are told the price before anything is charged.

What does early access mean?

That Meetowt is free while it is young and moving fast. More about early access.

Mail

Can we use our own domain for company email?

Yes. Set up DNS first and every address is at your domain from the first day. Or start at once on yourcompany.meetowt.com, which sends and receives from day one, inside the company and out — and once a DNS record proves the domain is yours, an administrator gives each person an address at it.

Can we bring our old email with us?

Yes. Each person can bring their own old mailbox across from Mail settings — every folder and message as it was — from Gmail, Yahoo, Zimbra or any mail server that speaks IMAP. Or an administrator brings the whole company’s at once, from Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or Zimbra. How it works.

Can we read Meetowt mail on a phone?

Yes, in the phone’s own mail app, with a phone password made in Mail settings. On an iPhone one tap sets the account up. Mail on your phone.

And the calendar and our colleagues’ details?

New Yes, in the phone’s own Calendar and Contacts apps, with the same phone password. An iPhone sets all three up in one tap. A meeting made on the phone is the person’s own; one somebody else organised is changed in Meetowt. Calendar and contacts on your phone.

Is there a phone app, and do we get notifications?

There is no store app to download: Meetowt installs from the browser onto the Home Screen and opens full screen. Turn on notifications in Settings and a message, a new mail, a call or a request waiting for you reaches the phone even when Meetowt is closed — saying what kind of thing happened and nothing that was written. On an iPhone it works for the app added to the Home Screen, on iOS 16.4 or later. Meetowt on your phone.

What happens when somebody leaves the company?

Their access is removed everywhere at once — mail, chat, meetings, files and records. Their mailbox and the files they owned stay with the company.

Meetings and calendar

Does Meetowt include video meetings?

Yes — in the browser, with screen sharing and recording, and nothing to install. People from outside the company can be invited; they knock and somebody lets them in.

Can we invite people outside the company to a meeting?

Yes. They get a real calendar invitation from the organiser’s own mailbox, which Gmail, Outlook and Apple Calendar all understand.

Privacy and security

Who can read our email and our files?

Your company. Each workspace is separated at the database level, and a file is visible only to the people it was shared with — the whole company, a department, or named individuals — or to somebody you chose to send a link to, which works for 30 days or 7 and which you can stop. Nothing is scanned for advertising. If an administrator switches on the optional writing help, the text somebody asks it about is sent to Anthropic’s model for an answer, and is not used to train it.

Where is our data?

On one server in Europe, backed up every night, encrypted, somewhere else. It does not leave the European Union in the ordinary course of running the service — except the notification email Google delivers for us, and the optional writing help, which sends the text somebody asks it about to Anthropic once your company switches it on. See security.

Can we take our data with us if we leave?

Yes. Ask and we hand you a copy of everything, mail included, within 30 days, with no export fee. The mail comes as standard mailbox files that other mail software can import.

HR, profiles and hiring

Does Meetowt handle HR?

Yes. It records working hours against each person’s shift, holds leave balances that keep themselves up to date, fills in public holidays for Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and stores staff records with the employee’s acknowledgement. Hours and time off.

Can colleagues endorse each other?

Yes, publicly or privately. Whether the writer was the person’s manager is taken from the company’s own records. A private endorsement is read only by the person it is about and whoever wrote it.

Can we post jobs with Meetowt?

Yes. Each company gets a careers page of its own, and a role can also be listed on meetowt.com/jobs. Applications and CVs are read only by the people who hire, and kept for twelve months. Hiring.

Just me

Can I have a Meetowt profile without a company?

Yes. Anybody aged 16 or older can make a free profile at my.meetowt.com with their own email address, see open roles and news from companies on Meetowt, and apply with the profile in one press. For people.

One login, one price, all of it.
